Now, you see the main cast has been changed. 

Does it affect the drama and its story?

So, if you have seen the first season then you don't need to read this part because I'm going to share a glimpse of the first season. 

You can skip this part and I'll tell you where to start reading. 

In the first season, you saw Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won as Eunseom and Tanya. Well, do you remember they both were in your favorite drama "Descendant of the Sun"? But Kim Ji Won was second lead. I've watched this series keeping the same cast in mind and enjoyed it. 

In the first season, you have to see how the Arthdal has been established and how they vanish Neanthal.

There are two species of humans one is "Neanthal" and the other is "Saram". And, there is one specie born by the cross-breeding of these called "Igutu". 

'Neanthal - one with blue blood and is the strongest breed'. 

'Saram - one who is normal and has red blood but weaker'. 

One day Saram asks Neanthal if they want to join hands because they don't want to be a tribal and want to join hands with other tribals to form a kingdom. 

But, Neanthal refuses the offer and Saram gets offended by this and thinks that they are the Neanthal are the strongest ones if they don't accept their offer, they should end their entire species and they make a plan to finish them and their community. 

Asa Hon was the one who was questioned because Saram used her to send the poison. Some of them who remain blame her but she gives him the idea to start a new life far from here and they will be hidden from Saram. 

Ragaz and Asa Hon got married and gave birth to two children who were Igutu. Ragaz got killed and Asa Hon escaped with one child because her other child was with Tagon. 

Remember Tagon is the main villain but he isn't bad either once you start to understand his character, he wants to form the kingdom. 

Eunseom and Tanya grow together in the Wahan Tribe that was attacked by Arthdal. 

And, the story starts here Tanya will become Niruha who is Asa Sin's ancestor. 

Saya who is alive and lives in the kingdom but has to hide has the same face as Eunseom, who is the benetbot brother of Eunseom. 

Eunseom has to take responsibility for saving his tribal family and he has to escape and survive. 

He goes up and down in the journey. They (he and his friends) have been made slaves and they work in mines. 

Eunseom escapes from there and ends up in another tribe where they consider him as Inaishingi who is the enemy of "Aramun Haesulla". 

Aramun Haesulla: a legend who is believed to have started Arthdal 200 years ago. 

Tagon who killed his father now became Aramun's reincarnation. 

The story of the first season ends with considering Eunseom as Inaishingi by the "Ago" tribe.

In the second season, the main cast is changed. 

Eunseom and Saya played by your favourite Song Jung Ki is now play by Lee Joon Gi and Tanya played by Kim Ji Won is now play by Shin Se Kyung. 

Now, the question is does the changing in cast affect the charm of the drama? 

So, I'm going to share what I've feel after watching the first 2 episodes of this season. 

See, I'm Ngl here but you will miss Song Jung Ki and Kim Ji Won in first 2 episodes. Even you will feel like you are watching the same show and it's different drama. 

When, I was watching few episodes of drama, whole scenario was different. 

Only, Tagon and Taealha are familiar faces but after the drama went on you will start to understand what is going on. 

Lee Joon Gi is no doubt a marvelous actor and he has played many action role and some of them were from Joseon Dynasty. So, he know how to play such role and always play a  remarkable role. 

So, after few episodes you will start to understand and see that Lee Joon Gi is playing the role as he always does. His acting and actions just like always will make you forget the first season and you will start to enjoy it. 

I know it would be difficult for you to imagine Saya who was so beautiful and his presence was something else has made me mesmerized too and Song Jung Ki was looking so handsome, now this role is playing by different actor but trust me he has given his best.

You have to let go of your feelings and watch the drama because the drama is so good and you will see more ACTION here then before. 

Eunseom is now Inaishingi and he is now planning to attack Arthdal.

Tanya now playing by Shin Se Kyung is elegant in her role, she will look delicate and beautiful yet strong. 

Tanya will play important role as Niruha, people praise and accept her blessings. 

Tagon has become king but still he is not assure. There will be time when he will act like crazy and people try to use this time and plan to bring him down from his throne. Even a time will come where a Neanthal girl will try to kill him but he somehow survive. 

Taealha is also involved in bringing him down from his throne. But, it turn out that Tagon was acting like crazy and he was doing it on purpose to catch the traitors. 

Saya will take the position of Eunseom by mistake and Eunseom will meet Tanya in Arthdal. Tanya ask him to take the responsibility to become Aramun Haesulla because she think Eunseom is the reincarnation of him and Tagon is just acting to become Aramun Haesulla. But, Eunseom is now Inaishingi who is enemy of Aramun. 

Taealha somehow understand that Saya is not Saya, so he abduct him but Tanya's father save him and warn him not to fight against Arthdal because they have finally make iron swords. 

But, Eunseom know his mission now he used to think that he has to save Wahan Tribe but they are saved and living a good life and curse Eunseom and want to kill him too. 

Now, Eunseom will become Aramun Haesulla and kill Tagon to win the Arthdal. 

Saya will commit suicide but he will be saved and Tagon will finally come to fight against Ago Tribe but he will be defeated. 

Now, Ago Tribe want to attack Arthdal and Tanya is ready with her community too to take over Arthdal. 

Tagon will return to Arthdal and Eunseom has attack. 

Now, you have to see by yourself what happened next as it is obvious that Tagon will be killed but story will not end here. 

Tagon play by Jang Dong Gun was so smooth in his acting that he actually look like King and you will hate him but you will have sympathy for him too. 

Taealha play by Kim Ok Win was good in her acting too and her chemistry with Tagon(Jang Dong Gun), she was strong in her character as queen and sometimes she take responsibility and fight. You will like her too but hate at same time. But, anyway you can't disagree that she was a strong queen. 

If you like action dramas and also if you are a fan of periodic one too then this drama will not disappoint you. 

Watch this drama for entertainment purpose and don't miss previous main cast because this time actions are on peak and Eunseom is not weak. Hey it rhymes (⁠T⁠T⁠).
